About The eBook Connection at DWW
ePublishing, while not new, is still crying out for greater acceptance. This site is another voice added to that plea. And it wants to cry loudest for the authors of eFiction. Just because a work is created for "mere" entertainment shouldn't downplay its importance, relevance, right to exist. People today think more of their recreation time than ever before. Why shouldn't our work be respected in whatever form it's published in
So the object of this site is to try to educate aspiring writers and established authors in finding the good in electronic publishing, how to get started, how to build one's own eBook, or find affordable services, from editing to designing the finished product.
Designing them and building them is an art form in itself. I enjoy that part of it as much as I enjoy writing the story I'm designing for. Maybe, though, you just want to write, and leave the other stuff up to someone who has a better grasp of the business end of it. My aim to find as many resources as I can and gather them into one spot so you can decide for yourself how you want to proceed, and make a better informed decision.
I taught myself, and you can, too. If you don't mind a little work. Learning new programs and skills. When you do it yourself, you become a jack of all trades. And you might just become a master of one of them. Maybe more if you hang in long enough.
Just as important are the readers of our work. Without them, well, we authors are nothing. So, of course, I would like to connect with potential new readers for my own eBooks. It's the wish, dream and goal of most authors to have their work devoured, appreciated, and raved over. A few bucks along the way toward helping to relieve some the stress and anxiety of a hard working hubby whose paycheck doesn't always stretch across the chasm of a month would be appreciated, too!
I've come to like reading electronically. In short, whatever is eBook, with special attention to fiction eBooks, I'll try to have here.
